Expansion Focus
Trace Finance plans to use the capital to extend its stablecoin-based settlement infrastructure to new markets outside Latin America. The company aims to offer businesses a compliant way to move funds across borders using stablecoins—cryptocurrencies designed to maintain a stable value by being pegged to traditional currencies such as the U.S. dollar.
Why It Matters
Stablecoins have gained traction in payments and settlements due to their speed and cost advantages over traditional cross-border transfers. By operating as a regulated provider, Trace Finance seeks to bridge stablecoin-based settlements with existing financial systems, helping enterprises transact across jurisdictions while meeting compliance requirements.
