Oobit has launched a native integration with Brazil’s Pix instant payment network, enabling users to purchase and spend the USDT stablecoin through the Oobit platform. The move targets a potential market of more than 170 million Pix participants.

Oobit Adds Native Pix Support for USDT

The payments company announced on Tuesday that its platform now supports Brazil’s fast payment system, Pix. With the integration, Oobit users in Brazil can buy and use USDT directly in the app using Pix, aligning stablecoin transactions with the country’s dominant real-time payments infrastructure.

Access to Pix’s 170 Million-Strong User Base

Pix, operated by the Central Bank of Brazil, offers 24/7 instant transfers and is widely adopted by individuals and businesses nationwide. By connecting USDT rails to Pix, Oobit aims to expand stablecoin accessibility across a large, active payments ecosystem.

Context: USDT and Brazil’s Payments Landscape

USDT is a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Tether and commonly used for trading, remittances, and digital payments. Integrating USDT with Pix is intended to streamline on- and off-ramps between fiat and crypto for Brazilian users, reducing friction for everyday transactions within a familiar payment network.
