Trump Team Sells TRUMP Tokens for $3.39M in 10 Hours

The entity behind the TRUMP memecoin on Solana received approximately 3.39 million USDC over a 10-hour period by adding and removing liquidity from decentralized exchange pools, according to on-chain data compiled by blockchain analytics account Lookonchain. The activity amounted to a liquidity pool sale rather than direct market selling of tokens.

On-Chain Activity Netted $3.39 Million USDC

Lookonchain reported that wallets associated with the TRUMP token repeatedly added and then withdrew liquidity tied to the token over roughly 10 hours, resulting in net receipts of 3.39 million USDC. USDC is a U.S. dollar–pegged stablecoin widely used for trading and liquidity on crypto markets.

The transactions took place on Solana, a high-throughput layer-1 blockchain that has become a hub for memecoin issuance and automated market-making (AMM) activity.

Liquidity Pool Strategy vs. Direct Sales

Rather than selling tokens directly into the market, adding and removing liquidity allows a project or wallet to capture USDC from a pool as trading flows and price movements shift the pool’s asset balance. This method can have similar effects to selling—extracting stablecoins from market participants—while routing the activity through AMM liquidity operations instead of visible spot sales.

In AMM systems, liquidity providers deposit pairs of assets (e.g., TRUMP/USDC) into a pool. As traders buy and sell, the pool’s composition changes. Removing liquidity after favorable price moves or heavy buy pressure can return more USDC to the liquidity provider than initially deposited.

Context on the TRUMP Token

TRUMP is a memecoin themed around former U.S. President Donald Trump and trades on Solana-based decentralized exchanges. Memecoins are speculative tokens whose value is often driven by social media sentiment and community interest rather than fundamental cash flows or utility.

Lookonchain’s analysis attributes the liquidity maneuvers to wallets linked to the TRUMP token’s team. The identities behind the wallets were not independently verified at press time.
