Ether ETFs Add $216M While Bitcoin ETFs Hit 4-Day Outflow Streak

Ether ETFs Attract $216 Million as Bitcoin Funds Extend Outflow Streak

U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded a fourth consecutive day of net outflows on Friday, while ether ETFs posted strong inflows. Bitcoin funds lost $13.29 million, compared with $216.41 million entering ether products.

Bitcoin ETFs Remain Under Pressure

The latest withdrawals extended bitcoin ETFs’ negative streak to four trading sessions. The outflows came as bitcoin’s price remained near $77,000, signaling continued caution among investors in the market’s largest cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin exchange-traded funds provide investors with exposure to bitcoin through traditional brokerage accounts. Persistent outflows can indicate reduced demand for the products, although daily fund flows do not always correspond directly with changes in the asset’s price.

Ether Funds Record Strong Inflows

Ether ETFs moved in the opposite direction, attracting $216.41 million on Friday. The gain marked the fourth consecutive week of net inflows for funds tied to ether, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network.

The divergence between bitcoin and ether products highlights a shift in recent ETF activity, with investors allocating more capital to ether funds even as bitcoin ETFs continued to register withdrawals.

Market Focus Turns to Sustained Demand

Investors will be watching whether ether’s inflow trend continues and whether bitcoin ETFs can reverse their four-day outflow streak. Further fund-flow data may offer additional insight into institutional demand for the two leading cryptocurrencies.
