Saylor Maintains Hyper-Bullish BTC Stance With 672,497 BTC

Strategy Ends 2025 With 672,497 BTC as Saylor’s Hyper-Bullish Bitcoin Accumulation Stance Holds Firm

Strategy Inc. (Nasdaq: MSTR), formerly MicroStrategy, closed out 2025 by adding 1,229 bitcoin to its treasury, according to a Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it bought the BTC between Dec. 22 and Dec. 28 for approximately $108.8 million, paying an average price of $88,568 per bitcoin. The purchase was funded through the sale of 663,450 shares of Class A common stock, which generated the same $108.8 million in proceeds.

With the latest acquisition, Strategy’s total holdings rose to 672,497 BTC, accumulated for roughly $50.44 billion at an average purchase price of $74,997 per coin. Based on bitcoin’s price at the time referenced in the source material, the stash was valued at roughly $59 billion.

The filing also reported that Strategy has achieved a BTC Yield of 23.2% year-to-date in 2025. The latest buy was described as one of the smaller additions the company made during the year, underscoring the consistency of its accumulation program.

Strategy’s approach keeps it at the center of institutional discussions about how investors gain exposure to bitcoin through public markets. Unlike spot holdings, the company’s bitcoin position sits inside a listed equity that can offer deep liquidity and, depending on index rules, access through passive funds and benchmarks.

At the same time, the structure introduces equity-specific considerations alongside bitcoin’s own price volatility. Funding purchases via stock sales can create dilution pressure, and the scale of Strategy’s bitcoin exposure can amplify the stock’s sensitivity to bitcoin market moves. The company’s prominent market role also means that index inclusion and potential rule changes remain relevant variables for investors using MSTR as a bitcoin proxy.
