Binance Pledges $3M USDT for Venezuela Earthquake Relief

Binance has announced a $3 million relief package for Venezuelans affected by recent earthquakes, including $20 USDT vouchers for users in impacted areas and temporary fee waivers across select services to ease access to funds.

$3 Million Relief and USDT Vouchers

According to the exchange, the funds will be delivered through Binance Charity, the platform’s philanthropic arm. The initiative includes distributing $20 vouchers denominated in USDT—Tether’s U.S. dollar–pegged stablecoin—to users located in areas hit by the earthquakes.

Fee Waivers to Support Local Transactions

To facilitate transactions during the recovery period, Binance is removing peer-to-peer (P2P) trading fees for the Venezuelan bolivar (VES) until July 2. The company is also waiving Binance Pay fees to lower costs for sending and receiving payments.

What’s Included

  • $3 million in total relief funding via Binance Charity.
  • $20 USDT vouchers for users in earthquake-affected areas.
  • P2P fee waivers for VES trades through July 2.
  • Binance Pay fee waivers to reduce transaction costs.

Background

Binance Charity coordinates humanitarian and disaster response efforts using blockchain-based tools to deliver aid. The company’s latest measures aim to provide fast, digital access to relief funds and reduce friction for local transactions as communities in Venezuela recover from the recent seismic events.
