Woman Sentenced to 18 Months for Concealing $2.6 Million Linked to Crypto Entrepreneur

Iris Rabaya Au has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to concealing more than $2.6 million connected to the criminal activities of her former boyfriend, Adam Iza, a self-described cryptocurrency businessman.

Funds Moved Through Companies and Bank Accounts

Prosecutors said Au helped conceal the money by using companies and bank accounts that she established for Iza. The funds were allegedly routed through those entities to obscure their connection to his criminal conduct.

The case centered on Au’s role in handling and disguising the proceeds rather than on her operation of a cryptocurrency business. Court filings identified Iza as a self-styled crypto entrepreneur.

Guilty Plea and Federal Sentence

Au pleaded guilty to charges related to concealing the funds and received an 18-month federal prison sentence. The sentence followed the government’s allegations that she knowingly assisted in moving more than $2.6 million through financial accounts and corporate structures.
