XRP’s on-chain activity has developed a pronounced weekday peak during the overlapping business hours of London and New York. XRP-focused treasury firm Evernorth reported that a three-hour window accounted for 23.5% of weekday on-chain volume in July, up from 14.3% in the same month a year earlier.
Weekday Peak Intensifies During London–New York Overlap
In an update shared on Aug. 18, Evernorth said weekday on-chain activity in the XRP ecosystem is increasingly concentrated in a three-hour period when London and New York business hours overlap. The firm’s July data shows that this window captured nearly a quarter of weekday on-chain volume, marking a notable increase from the prior year.
Concentration Points to Time-Zone-Driven Liquidity
The growing share of activity during the transatlantic overlap suggests that XRP network usage is aligning more closely with major financial market hours. Such clustering can reflect when liquidity, participation, and operational workflows are most active across Europe and the United States.
Background: XRP and On-Chain Volume
XRP is the native digital asset used on the XRP Ledger, a blockchain designed for fast, low-cost value transfers. On-chain volume measures the value of transactions settled directly on the network and is distinct from trading volume reported by centralized exchanges. Shifts in on-chain activity patterns can offer insight into when and how the network is being used.
