Bitmine Adds 28,086 ETH as Treasury Holdings Reach $14.8 Billion

Bitmine has added 28,086 ether (ETH) to its treasury, bringing its total holdings to approximately 5.93 million ETH, valued at about $14.8 billion. The position places the company close to its goal of accumulating 5% of Ethereum’s total supply.

Bitmine Expands Ethereum Treasury

The latest purchase further increases Bitmine’s exposure to Ethereum and makes its treasury one of the largest publicly disclosed corporate holdings of the cryptocurrency.

At approximately 5.93 million ETH, Bitmine’s holdings represent a substantial share of the asset’s circulating supply. The company’s stated target is to control 5% of all ETH, a threshold it is now approaching.

Most Holdings Are Staked

Bitmine has staked most of its ether holdings, allowing the company to participate in Ethereum’s proof-of-stake network while potentially generating staking rewards. Staking involves committing ETH to help validate transactions and secure the blockchain.

The strategy also turns Bitmine’s balance sheet into a significant long-term position tied to Ethereum’s network and market performance. The company’s holdings remain subject to changes in ETH’s market price.

Growing Institutional Exposure to Ethereum

Bitmine’s expanding treasury reflects the growing use of digital assets as corporate reserve holdings. Its concentration in ETH also represents one of the largest single publicly disclosed bets on Ethereum among publicly traded companies.

The value of the treasury, currently estimated at approximately $14.8 billion, will fluctuate with the price of ether and any future changes to the company’s holdings.
