MEXC Launches Command-Line Tool for AI-Assisted Trading
Mutsamudu, Comoros, September 28, 2026 — Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has launched MEXC CLI, a command-line tool designed to let users connect their own artificial intelligence agents to the platform and move from natural-language trading instructions to execution.
According to MEXC, the tool allows users to interact with AI agents within environments they already use. Those agents can interpret requests and access relevant MEXC functions through the CLI, including market-data retrieval, account checks, trading-history analysis and trade preparation.
Connecting AI analysis with trade execution
AI is increasingly being used by market participants to research markets, analyze data and develop trading strategies. However, users typically still need to move between an AI application and an exchange to carry out a trade manually.
MEXC CLI is intended to reduce that separation by packaging the exchange’s application programming interface, or API, access into a command-line environment that AI agents can use. After installation and configuration, users can issue requests in natural language, while the agent interprets the request and calls the relevant MEXC functions.
The tool is designed to handle the underlying API interaction and data processing. MEXC said users retain control over key trading actions, with confirmation required before execution where applicable.
MEXC CLI currently supports spot trading, futures trading, wealth management and platform activities, according to the company.
MEXC expands its AI offering
The launch forms part of MEXC’s broader AI strategy, which the exchange describes through the framework of “Discover, Understand and Trade.” Its existing AI-related features include AI Rankings, AI Trends and Smart Chart, which are aimed at market discovery and analysis.
MEXC also offers AI Strategy, which allows users to convert natural-language trading ideas into strategies subject to review and confirmation, as well as AI Model Copy Trade, which provides access to selected trading strategies and activity.
With MEXC CLI, the exchange is extending these capabilities into external AI environments and positioning AI agents as an additional interface for interacting with its trading services.
Trading Takes Two campaign and TOKEN2049 showcase
MEXC is also running its “Trading Takes Two” campaign to highlight the use of AI across different stages of the trading process.
During TOKEN2049 Singapore, the company said its booth will feature an MEXC AI Experience Zone. The installation is expected to showcase potential applications of AI in trading and provide an overview of the exchange’s broader AI initiatives.
