XRP Gains on RLUSD Growth as $900M Trading Boom Deepens Liquidity

XRP is seeing strengthened demand as activity in Ripple USD (RLUSD) accelerates on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), with liquidity deepening alongside a reported $900 million trading surge, according to Evernorth, an XRP-focused treasury company.

RLUSD Growth Bolsters XRP’s Settlement Role

Evernorth said rising RLUSD usage on XRPL is reinforcing XRP’s function as a core settlement and bridge asset. As traders route between dollar exposure and other on-ledger assets, more activity is flowing through XRP-denominated paths, supporting volumes and improving execution across markets tied to the network.

Liquidity Deepens Amid $900M Trading Boom

The firm attributed a recent $900 million upswing in trading activity to expanding RLUSD markets, noting that broader participation is tightening spreads and increasing order book depth for both RLUSD and XRP pairs. Greater stablecoin liquidity can reduce frictions in price discovery, making it easier for market makers and payment flows to move between assets on XRPL.

XRPL Expansion and Market Implications

As RLUSD supply expands on the XRP Ledger, Evernorth expects continued growth in settlement flows that rely on XRP for pathfinding and bridging between currency pairs. The development highlights how stablecoin adoption can amplify network effects on public ledgers by concentrating liquidity and improving capital efficiency for trading and payments.

RLUSD is a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Ripple and native to XRPL. XRP is the ledger’s native cryptocurrency used for transaction fees, liquidity provision, and bridging between assets.
