HIFI Raises $37M to Power Stablecoins and Tokenized Markets

HIFI Raises $37 Million to Expand Stablecoin Payments and Tokenized-Market Infrastructure

HIFI has raised $37 million in a Series A funding round led by Left Lane Capital as the company works to expand its stablecoin payments, card products and infrastructure for tokenized capital markets.

The company said its platform currently processes more than $7 billion in annualized transaction volume across 87 countries. HIFI provides application programming interfaces (APIs) that connect traditional banking rails with stablecoin settlement.

HIFI Targets Payments and Tokenized Assets

HIFI initially focused primarily on moving money between financial institutions and blockchain-based systems. The company now plans to use the new funding to broaden its role across payments and tokenized assets.

According to HIFI, the capital will support the development of stablecoin payment products, card-related services and infrastructure for tokenized securities and other capital-market transactions. The company did not disclose a valuation associated with the funding round.

Tokenization refers to representing assets such as securities, funds or other financial instruments on a blockchain. While much of the focus has centered on issuing and trading these assets, transactions also require a reliable mechanism for transferring money between participants.

Stablecoins Could Support the Cash Leg of Tokenized Trades

HIFI is positioning stablecoins as a potential settlement layer for the cash side of tokenized transactions. Stablecoins are digital assets designed to maintain a stable value relative to an underlying asset, such as the U.S. dollar.

For tokenized markets to operate efficiently, the transfer of funds must keep pace with the movement of the asset being traded. HIFI’s infrastructure is designed to connect blockchain-based settlement with traditional financial institutions, banking networks and compliance processes.

The company’s expansion comes as financial firms explore blockchain-based representations of securities and other assets. HIFI participated in production trades conducted by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) in July involving DTC-tokenized assets. The initiative included participants such as BlackRock, Goldman Sachs and Nasdaq, according to the company.

Visa Partnership Extends Stablecoin Payment Reach

HIFI has also partnered with Visa on stablecoin-funded payouts. The company said the arrangement can support payouts that reach billions of Visa cards, potentially linking blockchain-based funds with established global payment networks.

These relationships place HIFI between blockchain infrastructure and the financial institutions responsible for settlement, compliance and distribution. The company’s latest funding is intended to support further development in a market where traditional payments, stablecoins and tokenized securities are increasingly converging.

Stablecoins have historically been used largely by cryptocurrency traders to maintain dollar exposure and move funds between digital-asset platforms. HIFI’s strategy reflects a broader effort across the financial sector to use the technology for payments, settlement and other institutional applications.
